Welcome Amy Charlotte Bespoke
Amy was previouly the owner and founder of Mrs Sew n Sew Northampton for 14 years. Mrs Sew n Sew closed in March 2025 and Amy charlotte Bespoke was born. Moving into a garden studio based in Duston Northampton. Amy works on costume commissions for idividual clients as well as large production company. A long side costumes making Amy Specialises in Bridal wear alterations and gown design service.
Amy first started sewing at a young age, whilst watching her mum making dresses, she would be cutting fabric on the hallway floor.
After leaving school, Amy went to Northampton College and gained a BTEC in Fashion and Design. On moving to Leicester to further her studies she gained a HND in Theatre Costume and Design. Completing the final part of her training in Worthing she received a BA (Hons) in Theatre Arts.
Amy’s first costume job was working for Geoff at a local costumne hire house Haveaballoon Costume. She got her big break a couple of months later working for the BAFTA winning costumers Angels in London working as an alterations assistant. Here she worked on costumes for many TV, Films and Stage Shows, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter. A further break came when she got a role as Costume Assistant on The Bill where she worked for four years. Amy has also worked for many independent theatres and production companies making costumes for all different periods of time.
After the birth of her daughter, Amy decided it was time to pursue a new adventure, resulting in opening her own shop. Now 15 years later Amy works from a purpose built Garden Studio bringing designs to life and as a Freelance Costume Maker.
